The Haryana government is preparing to roll out artificial intelligence pilot projects across several public-service sectors, including grievance redressal, road maintenance, schools, and healthcare. The initiative is aimed at improving efficiency, transparency, and citizen service delivery by using AI-driven monitoring and decision-making systems. Officials say the pilots will help the state test how AI can support governance in real-world administrative environments before larger-scale deployment.
One major focus area is public grievance management. Haryana has been expanding digital governance systems such as the “Mhari Sadak App,” which allows citizens to report damaged roads and infrastructure problems directly to authorities. AI tools are expected to help categorize complaints, identify urgent issues faster, and improve response times through predictive analysis and automated tracking systems. State leadership has recently emphasized accountability and time-bound grievance resolution across departments.
The pilots will also extend to schools and healthcare services. In education, AI systems may be used to monitor learning outcomes, identify attendance patterns, and improve administrative planning. In healthcare, officials are exploring AI-supported systems for diagnostics, hospital management, and patient-service optimization as part of broader reforms in public health infrastructure. Haryana has simultaneously been increasing technology-driven oversight in hospitals and expanding digital governance capabilities across departments.
The announcement aligns with Haryana’s broader AI strategy, which includes recently approved AI Centres of Excellence in Gurugram and Panchkula under the IndiaAI Mission. These hubs are expected to focus on citizen services, healthcare, agriculture, education, and governance applications while also supporting workforce training and AI innovation. State officials increasingly view AI not simply as a technology project, but as a long-term governance transformation intended to modernize public administration and strengthen service delivery across Haryana.
