The article highlights several alarming scenarios. In autonomous vehicles, attackers could potentially manipulate controller logic so a car accelerates instead of braking or misinterprets traffic conditions. In warehouses and pharmaceutical supply chains, compromised AI-driven robots could mislabel products, reroute shipments, or distribute dangerous goods at industrial scale. Researchers also point to “perception attacks,” where adversarial modifications to road signs or sensor environments trick AI systems into making unsafe decisions.
