Artificial intelligence becomes an integral part of business: 61% of companies already use neural networks

A new industry study shows that artificial intelligence (AI) has moved far beyond a niche experiment and is now embedded in everyday business operations, with 61 % of companies worldwide using neural networks and other AI services to support work-related tasks. The research — conducted by the Russian analytics firm ROMIR — found that AI adoption isn’t limited to tech giants: organisations of various sizes are leveraging machine learning models to automate processes, enhance decision-making, and improve operational workflows.

The survey reveals that a clear majority of respondents believe AI directly contributes to growth and development, with 66 % saying it helps reduce advertising costs and improve return on investment (ROI). Many companies reported that AI tools are especially valuable in optimising marketing campaigns and personalising customer engagement, with 63 % linking AI implementation to better advertising effectiveness — showing how generative and predictive technologies are reshaping revenue strategies across sectors.

Beyond marketing, business leaders are increasingly tying AI use to broader corporate planning and investment decisions. Nearly half of the surveyed companies that already use AI reported plans to increase their advertising budgets in 2026, reflecting confidence in AI-driven performance improvements and a belief that neural networks will continue to deliver competitive advantage. This trend underscores how AI has shifted from a buzzword to a core strategic asset in corporate decision-making.

However, as AI becomes more commonplace, experts also point out challenges, including the need for better governance and oversight as adoption grows. With tools integrated into key business systems, ensuring ethical use, data integrity, and measurable outcomes will be essential for companies to sustain long-term value from AI investments.
