These abilities make them appear intelligent, but experts disagree on whether this performance reflects genuine reasoning or merely advanced pattern recognition built from large datasets.
Some technology leaders argue that today’s AI systems show meaningful improvements in problem-solving. Companies developing AI models claim that newer systems can process multi-step tasks and produce more structured responses by spending more computing time analyzing possible answers.
