UNESCO has partnered with KPMG, Pluralsight, and Junior Achievement Americas to provide training in Generative AI to over 1,100 young people in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Mexico. This program aims to equip youth with the skills to navigate AI in everyday life, focusing on ethical use and creative applications.
The training program includes two tracks: the Inspire Track, which introduces fundamentals and ethics of generative AI, and the Prepare Track, which focuses on practical tools, professional applications, and real-world use cases. Participants can progress at their own pace through online and asynchronous learning.
Through this initiative, participants have gained confidence in using AI tools, developed practical skills in generating images, writing texts, and building prompts, and understood the importance of ethical AI use. The program has demonstrated the potential of cross-sector collaboration in driving social impact and highlighted the importance of inclusive access to training in emerging technologies.
By investing in digital education and upskilling, organizations can help bridge opportunity gaps and empower marginalized youth. This initiative showcases the transformative power of AI literacy and education in boosting employability and social mobility.
