Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has partnered with Google and Meta to accelerate its artificial intelligence (AI) initiatives in India. RIL has launched a new wholly-owned subsidiary called Reliance Intelligence, focused on building AI infrastructure, forging global partnerships, and delivering AI services for consumers and enterprises.
As part of the partnership, RIL has formed a joint venture with Meta, with an initial investment of ₹855 crore ($100 million), to develop Llama-based enterprise AI platforms and tools specifically for the Indian market. This venture aims to democratize enterprise-grade AI for Indian businesses, enabling them to leverage AI technology to drive growth and innovation.
Reliance has also deepened its partnership with Google, focusing on accelerating AI adoption across its diverse business portfolio. Google Cloud will support the development of AI-ready infrastructure, including gigawatt-scale data centers powered by green energy. This partnership will enable Reliance to build a robust AI infrastructure, driving innovation and growth across various industries.
