Meta and AWS Partner to Support Startups Using Llama

The tech industry is buzzing with the news of a potential partnership between Meta and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support startups using Meta's Llama AI models. This collaboration is expected to enhance Meta's position in the competitive generative AI market.

The partnership is part of Meta's "Llama Startup Program," which aims to encourage startups to adopt its Llama AI model. The program offers direct support from Meta's Llama team, including expert guidance and financial assistance of up to $6,000 per month for six months. To be eligible, startups must be registered in the US, have less than $10 million in funding, and have at least one developer working on generative AI applications.

This initiative is part of Meta's broader strategy to solidify its leadership in the open-model space. Despite facing competition from rivals like DeepSeek, Google, and Alibaba's Qwen, Meta is optimistic about its generative AI products, expecting revenue to reach $2-3 billion in 2025 and potentially $460 billion to $1.4 trillion by 2035.
