The summit, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in partnership with over 40 UN agencies and co-convened by the Government of Switzerland, aims to advance practical AI applications that accelerate progress toward the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Key events include "The Great AI Debate," AI Governance, the Quantum for Good initiative, AI Impact Awards, and the Robotics for Good Youth Challenge.¹

Some notable sessions include discussions on AI governance, where international leaders and stakeholders will exchange ideas on effective strategies for AI governance, addressing the ethical, legal, and social implications of AI technologies. Other sessions will focus on AI's role in climate change, food systems, healthcare, and education.

The summit will also feature the International AI Standards Exchange, where leading global standards bodies will strengthen AI's technical backbone. The event aims to bring together over 1,000 leading AI experts, innovators, and decision-makers from around the globe, as well as attract more than 10,000 participants from various sectors.
