A top executive from the AI and cybersecurity firm Rubrik says a strong collaboration between the United States and India in artificial intelligence could unlock major benefits across sectors such as healthcare, education, job training, digital literacy and broader social uplift. Rubrik Chairman and CEO Bipul Sinha highlighted that the US brings technology expertise and scale, while India offers human scale, a youthful population and rapid economic growth — a combination that could accelerate AI’s impact at global scale.
Speaking ahead of the India AI Impact Summit 2026 in New Delhi, Sinha noted that America’s technological capabilities paired with India’s demographic advantage present what he described as a “tremendous opportunity” to use AI for inclusive development. He emphasised that technology will be key in moving hundreds of millions of people into the middle class by applying AI in essential services and capacity building.
Sinha also stressed that as both countries deepen investment and technological cooperation, they can jointly address challenges — and not just opportunities — that come with scale. He underscored the importance of governance, monitoring and trust when deploying AI systems, particularly when these systems must work at population scale across heterogeneous environments.
The remarks reflect broader efforts — such as industry partnerships and government-level dialogues — to strengthen bilateral ties around AI innovation, infrastructure and policy. With India hosting one of the largest international AI events to date and initiatives like the United States–India Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technology already fostering cooperation, the strategic partnership aims to shape how AI is developed and applied responsibly around the world.
