A recent survey by Pluralsight, a technology learning platform, has shed light on the significant challenges organizations face in adopting artificial intelligence (AI) solutions. Despite the growing interest in AI, the survey found that a staggering 72% of respondents reported that their organizations are still in the early stages of AI adoption, with only 12% having fully implemented AI solutions.
The primary obstacles hindering AI adoption, according to the survey, are the lack of skilled tech talent and data modernization challenges. A significant 63% of respondents cited the shortage of skilled tech professionals as a major barrier, while 56% pointed to data modernization challenges as a significant hurdle.
The survey also highlighted the complexity of AI technologies, the need for substantial investment in infrastructure, and concerns about data security and ethics as notable challenges. Furthermore, the lack of training resources and the difficulty in finding qualified instructors were identified as major obstacles to providing effective training and upskilling existing workforce.
The Pluralsight survey underscores the pressing need for organizations to address the tech talent gap and data modernization challenges in order to unlock the full potential of AI and drive business success.
