To achieve this goal, the state will embed AI technologies into core government operations, boost service efficiency, and enable AI support in policy-making and welfare delivery schemes.
The state plans to introduce an AI curriculum in senior secondary public schools to democratize access to AI skills and careers from an early age. Additionally, Telangana aims to train 5 lakh professionals in AI specializations by 2027 through a mix of formal education and digital initiatives.
The Telangana Data Exchange Platform (TGDex) will enable access to quality data for innovators, fueling AI-powered innovation through a collaborative approach. The state will also facilitate access to compute capacity through hyperscalers, providing subsidized access to government departments and selected early-stage startups.
The government has unveiled a strategy document and implementation roadmap for AI-powered governance, focusing on various sectors such as healthcare, agriculture, and education. In healthcare, AI will be used for predictive analytics, early disease detection, patient triage, and telemedicine enhancements.
In agriculture, AI-based data models will provide crop disease alerts, weather predictions, and soil analytics. In education, AI will enable personalized learning tools, AI tutors for remote areas, and digital learning analytics.
