As artificial intelligence becomes more deeply embedded in creative production, brands and agencies are struggling to decide what actually requires disclosure. Questions such as whether an AI-generated background, synthesized voice, or digitally created human figure should be labeled have become central to current industry debates.
A major concern for marketers is that disclosure may reduce the effectiveness of advertisements. Research cited in the report suggests that openly labeling content as AI-generated can lower consumer response and trust, creating hesitation among brands that rely heavily on engagement and conversions.
